Kenny Tours Ltd was founded by Kenneth Dodd (snr) over 30 years ago in the parish of Hanover Jamaica. The tour company evolved out of a need to provide affordable and reliable transportation to the people of Hanover who wanted to conduct business in the capital city of Kingston and required a service they could trust to take them to Kingston and back safely.
Kenny would make this journey from Lucea Hanover initially in 1977 sometimes twice a day seven days a week in a small Ford Transit Bus.
In 1980 Kenny decided that he wanted to offer not just to our local clients his brand of reliable service but also to guest visiting our island. This desire to provide quality service to his guests led to Kenny becoming apart of JUTA. This association has helped to further expose thousands of guests over the years to quality travel across every part of the beautiful island of Jamaica.
The company has grown significantly since it started and is now licensed by the Jamaica Tourist Board and incorporated with the Registry of Companies Jamaica since 1995. We regard ourselves as a good corporate citizen as we now employ eight full time employees and play our role in Jamaica’s development by ensuring that the applicable taxes are paid over to the government in a timely fashion.
In October 2009, Kenny Tours made another significant step in realizing its vision of becoming the leading tour operator in Jamaica by 2012. Kenny Tours open the doors of its Kingston Chapter with Kenny (jnr) in charge of operations. This chapter will continue on the tradition and the founding values of Kenny Tours these are Safety, Affordability, Reliability and Comfort.
